Ronda Rousey’s latest news is a total knockout.
The 37-year-old announced she and husband Travis Browne—who are already parents to 2-year-old daughter La'akea Makalapuaokalanipo Browne—are expecting another baby together.
Ronda made the exciting announcement while sitting on a panel at San Diego Comic-Con July 25 for her new graphic novel Expecting the Unexpected. In fact, the former UFC fighter was all smiles as she cradled her growing baby bump, which was evident under her pink and white flowered dress.
The news is especially poignant, as Ronda has been candid about having experienced two pregnancy losses and undergoing three cycles of IVF during her and Travis’ journey to becoming parents.
But since welcoming their daughter in September 2021, the pair have been all in on sharing their family with the world. In fact, Ronda often shares sweet photos and videos of La’akea to social media—including hints that the little girl might be following in her mother’s impressive footsteps.
Back in October, Ronda posted an image of her and La’akea at their home gym—with her daughter climbing on the bench in front of her. Ronda captioned the photo, “Swolemates.”
Then just two months later, the Olympic bronze medalist shared an image of Travis—who is also dad to sons Keawe and Kaleo Browne with his ex-wife Erin Browne—helping La’akea put on boxing gloves. As Ronda captioned the December 15 post, “She demanded a pair of gloves so she could give it a try.”
As it turns out, the boxing glove really doesn’t fall far from the bag in this case.
“Oh, she's definitely going to be tough,” Ronda told People of her daughter in June of last year. “She doesn't respond to pain so much. She just fell and scraped her knee today and she didn't even cry. She just kind of grunts it out!"
She continued, "The world isn't ready for this little girl.”
And while Ronda and Travis haven’t commented publicly yet on their family’s newest addition, it’s clear their little one is joining a family full of love.
Take it from a recent peek into their adorable routine every time Ronda comes home.
In a video posted to Instagram April 14, Ronda and La’akea can be seen running towards each other after Ronda enters the gate to their backyard. And in a voiceover as he recorded the sweet moment, Travis narrates, “Thet just ran all the way, meeting in the middle. Haven’t been gone from each other for one day.”
But as Ronda captioned the post, for her, there’s “no place I’d rather be.”
